Privacy policy

We are a user research company, so we know how much trust people place in us. This policy explains what we collect through this website, why, and the choices you have.

Who we are

This website is operated by User Experience Lab, Inc., 9450 SW Gemini Dr PMB 14302, Beaverton, Oregon 97008-7105, United States. You can reach us at hi@userxlab.org.

What we collect

When you contact us, we collect the details you choose to give: your name, email address, company and message.

When you register as a usability test participant, we collect your name, contact details, location, age range, the devices you use and how you would like to take part.

This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Your theme preference is stored in your own browser and is never sent to us.

How we use it

We use your information only to reply to you, to invite you to usability studies that match your profile, and to run those studies with your consent. We never sell your personal information.

Service providers

Forms on this site are delivered by Formspree, which processes the information you submit on our behalf so that it can be emailed to us. Our website is served by a hosting provider that may log basic technical data, such as IP addresses, to keep the site secure and available.

Research sessions

Before any usability study, participants receive a description of the session and the data it will collect, including any biometric signals, and give informed consent. Findings shared with our clients are presented in a way that protects participants’ identities.

Your choices

You can ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to remove you from our participant panel, at any time by emailing hi@userxlab.org.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update this page and the date at the top.
